Ok, just making another change to the database solved the GUI glitch.

Thanks. You were right, the db credentials must have been outdated.
The database is now properly connected and can be logged into. However, the GUI still shows 'updating'. Is there any fix for that, or should I just ignore it?

after creating a Mysql database, it is stuck in updating status and cannot be logged into. Do you have any idea what might be causing this issue?
